Zachary Lopes is an active soloist and collaborative artist and has been a prizewinner and finalist in several local, national, and international competitions. Most recently, he won the 2011 University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Piano Concerto Competition and performed as a soloist with the CCM Concert Orchestra and Chorale. He has also been a finalist in the Schlern International Music Competition, the 2007 MTNA Northwest Regional Young Artist Competition, and the 2006 University of Colorado College of Music Honors Competition. He was featured with his trio on CBS Sunday Morning’s “A Grand Plan for Pianos” in 2009. As a soloist, Zach has given performances across the United States, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Recent solo performances include a Faculty Artist Recital at Wittenberg University, a Guest Artist Recital for the Woodland Park Arts Alliance in Colorado, and a Guest Artist Recital for the Friends of Spokane Symphony in Idaho. Zachary received his bachelors from the University of Colorado, masters from CCM and is currently finishing his doctorate at CCM.

A Kentucky native and CCM alum, Cully Bell returns to the area to perform for the Glendale Fine Music Series. Multiple-time winner of the KMTA Young Artist Competition, he is active in the performance of solo and chamber literature. A sought-after collaborator, he has performed with members of the Lexington Philharmonic, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, and Seoul National Orchestra. Recent solo performances include a recital at the prestigious Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, guest artist recital for the 2009 Cincinnati Piano Institute, the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy in Chicago, as well as in several concert series throughout the area, including the Challenging Performance Series, and was featured in a lecture-recital in collaboration with the notable Liszt scholar, Alan Walker. His interest in various performing arts combinations resulted in several performances on stage in collaborations with the Lexington Ballet. When not performing, Dr. Bell is gaining a following as a dedicated teacher, as well. He currently holds a full time position at Southern Illinois University, where he teaches piano, piano pedagogy, and coordinates the group piano program.

Susan Ha Susan is a doctoral candidate of Musical Arts in Piano Perform-ance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and has actively participated in public performances including solo, chamber, and as a soloist for orchestras throughout the US. Susan is the Musical Director for Glendale Fine Music. She will be performing works by Beethoven, Schubert, Faure, and various concert etudes by other composers. |
